I read the first few books of the Blue Bloods vampire series over the summer. While I really enjoyed them, I couldn’t just pick up this book and read it cover to cover in one day. I had forgotten the storyline, plot, and characters. I found that I needed to reread the all of the previous books in the series before I could finish this Misguided Angel.

I have a suspicion that most people who have read these novels will have, or have had, the same issue. It is a great series, and I really enjoyed this novel, but I think this series has been overshadowed by some of the other vampire books that have come out. I think that is unfortunate because of how much I enjoyed this book.
The one thing that threw me off was that I thought this was the final book, and was expecting the story to be wrapping up. Instead the story continued to build. This was not a bad thing, because it means that there is at least 1 more book in the series!
In rereading the series I did notice that the first couple books seemed all about flaunting how much money everyone has. This book has absolutely none of that, and I like it much more for it. I was annoyed at every mention of brand, shopping experience, class denotation, and on and on. I love that this book didn’t have any of that, because it allowed me to get more into the plot and not stay above the story by being annoyed at how pompous most of the characters were. It was like reading gossip girl for vampires: annoying!
Overall, it’s definitely a must read to the series, and I hope that I am right in assuming there is still another Blue Blood Series novel to come!
