This book is much more science fiction than most we review, and I was happy for the change. I was first pulled towards it because of the bright yellow and red cover.
Then once I started reading I was hooked. The basis of the plot is one I think most of us have seen in a favorite superhero movie, Superman. Thought, once you get past that part in the plot the story becomes it’s own, and some. The main character has to deal with the fact that not only is he going through the hardest part of his young adulthood, he has to do it with developing powers.
I WANT TO BUY I AM NUMBER FOUR
The story does become pretty brutal as the children who survived the attack on the planet Lorien are starting to be attacked here. I still can’t believe how it ended and hate the fact that the next book won’t be out for a while.
My biggest beef with this book was the love story. It was extremely juvenile. I will give it to the fact that it is between two freshmen. Itlll wasn’t enough to make me stop reading the book, but it definitely wasn’t my favorite part.
So, I will be wait patiently for the movie, then the next book in the series.
