It may be a bit presuming to think that those who are reading our reviews also want to know more about the authors of those reviews, but I’m going to go ahead and presume anyway. My name is Amy Piggott, I’m a 25 year old semi-sarcastic, fully eccentric girl who is well-known for laughing at almost anything, but hardest at her own jokes. I’m a serious nerd who majored in molecular biology in college and who now works for an internet marketing company.

I came to love science fiction and fantasy when I was young… but never realized I was a lover of either genre until a year ago when I started analyzing the books I was reading with Bethia as I realized more and more that we were interested in the same books. It started before I was even ten with Goosebumps and Fear Street. It moved to Mary Higgens Clark and her ghost stories as I got a little older and then of course I was (and still am) infatuated with Hogwarts and Harry Potter. Throw in a random book about fairies, werewolves and warlocks and you have the books I read through high school. Now, post-college, I’ve picked up my love of reading again, only to share my findings with you—those who I hope have a similar love and infatuation.

I want my site to be fun and useful. The biggest reason Bethia and I have picked up this hobby is to let people know what the content is within the books before they or their children read them. We also want to build a community around those who are interested in our books so they can interact and discuss their opinions. Secretly I want to hear that everyone loves these books as much as I do! (Go Team Peeta!)

Finally, Bethia and I just got new bikes, so if we’re not reading a fantasy or science fiction novel we’re out riding like 10 year old kids. I hope you enjoy our site and our reviews! Keep visiting.
